Adoption of Building Information Modelling in the Saudi Construction Industry: An Interpretive Structural Modelling

The Saudi Vision 2030 is a program of change management on national level driven mostly by the use digital technology. implementation building information modelling (BIM) part this change, and there general agreement that its improves productivity quality architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) industries. Despite extensive projects, Arabia has only recently planned for BIM. Several conditions must apply before it successfully implemented. While literature identified factors critical to success barriers adoption, few studies have rated these in terms their importance contingent impact. Furthermore, interactional relationship between rarely been investigated. As result, an interpretative structural model (ISM) was conducted establish hierarchy variables, while accounting dynamic interaction each. For factor selection, matrix-based multiplication applied classification (MICMAC) method utilized. Therefore, awareness BIM sustainability benefits are expected be most important variables acceptance. gradually shifting from bottom-down combined effect top-down bottom-up leadership.
